About garden98011
Gardening has always been very therapeutic. By being close to God's creation, we seem to solve a plethora of concerns digging in the dirt. I originally started with an English garden which over the years has morphed into a combination of traditional & contemporary.
The photos (from Spr/Sum 2006)were taken after my C. armandi, which created a canopy shading my stone path, shriveled up and seemed to die. Thankfully, it has renewed growth and seems fine, but looks unsightly hanging down in my "cover" photo. I will add more when we are done transferring data from our old computer-could be timely! The contemporary aspect is not evident in these photos which were taken at the beginning of the transformation.
I really enjoy spending time with my other gardening friends finding new nurseries since my children (mostly grown) and husband find no excitement in the adventure! If you know of any great ones around, please let me know.
My favorite local nurseries are: Wells Medina (Bellevue) and Christianson's (Mt. Vernon), one in Tacoma specializing in tropicals is fantastic as well, though I cannot remember the name.
My favorite mail-order: Plant Delights and Brian's Botanicals

Gardening Tip (This may be old news to some)
