piercing does HURT! But I was a good girl and got a sucker in my little bag that tells the world that you have just gotten your ears pierced at Claire's. Hope I can get a pix in an album. They are such little things, no more do you actually get anything gold for free. But I did choose the red teeny gem as it is my birthstone for January.
My daughter finally has power, she sent a few picutures of the trees down in her yard. It will be awhile before the cities are clean again. What a mess!! Still have all of you in my prayers that are enduring the bad weather.
Children coming in on Saturday for celebrating our Christmas together. Going to do a brunch complete with lots of comfort food. Any of you remember the old time Egg/Sausage/Chees casserole? We will start there and do it up big all the way around. I think it will be a good day.

Linda, I used to do ear piercing when I worked at a local jewelry store, a lonnnnng time ago.:) Before it got really popular, people would come in an asked for other body parts to be pierced, but I wouldn't do it. I wouldn't do baby's ears either. One woman brought her 3 day old baby in and cussed me out because I refused to do. She tried to get me fired. Make sure to follow your instructions faithfully. It will make a big difference, with the healing process. |

My daughter has been talking about getting her ears pierced since she was 4. I told her when she turned 5 we would talk about. When she turned 5 we talked about and I told her she could get it done but it would hurt. Now she wants to wait until she is 7 (she came up with this age by herself) because she thinks it won't hurt as much! |

Good advice for your daughter. The young girl that did mine said a 4yr old came in and then when she started with one ear, kept saying 'I don't like it', this continued until they were leaving at which time she looked up at the yound lady and said 'I don't like you either'. I really think moms should do just what you did and if the child doesn't believe you, take that little lobe and stick it just enough to show them what to expect. and Tam-Tam I intend to take very good care of these ears of mine. Just hope I don't get another cyst. Guess that would tell me not to do it anymore. Getting too old anyway. That young lady really smiled when she realized the piercing was for me :-D |

I had told my daughter she could get her ears pierced when she turned 13. She is not a fan of pain, and decided to wait until she was 15. She also had her ears done at Clairs. They gave her a bottle of disinfectant solution to use when cleaning her ears. That was a few years ago and now she has a big enough earring collection to open her own jewelry store lol!!! |
