I went back to the pot with the pink arrowhead and pulled more seedlings out. They are definitely sunflowers. There must have been fifty coming up. This pot had been on the front porch previously and I only moved it out to the carporch a few weeks ago. "Somebody" must have hidden a bunch of sunflower seeds in the pot to get later. Sid the Squirrel perhaps. I'm going to really keep my eye on that pot. Who knows how many more will pop up!!
Mission for Today: Sit on the back patio and admire all the sweaty work I did this morning. Oh, and fan myself because it's 96 degrees out there now.

John hasn't been spitting his watermelon seeds in the pot has he :-) A shame they those sunflowers aren't growing in a better spot.

I always have oak trees starting everywhere, compliments of the army of squirrels that live with us and the abundance of acorns.

Your heat wave finally left here, cooler today, so you have relief coming your way. I wish Sid's relations would quit planting black walnuts all around my yard, they keep other things from growing. gp
