Bringing in the sheaves. Well, more like bringing in the houseplants. I set up the Benjamin Franklin ladder/chair in the bathroom to have room for all of them. I think that they will like the warm moist environment. I finally have all of them in except for the gossamer plant. There will be some more warm days for a while, so I think I'll leave it out for now. It has just started blooming. I would also like to get some snips of the pineapple sage to see if I can get it started in the house and winter it over so that I won't have to send my buddy to the nursery she travels to to buy some for me next spring.
Yesterday morning while I was brushing my teeth, something caught my attention out of the corner of my eye. I looked and at first I thought that it was a baby lizard. I thought, no problem, but when I went to get it, it was a baby tree frog. Yuuuuck! I don't like anything that has little suckers on its feet. It gives me the mullygrubs. I snatched down a hand towel so that I could grab it without touching it. When I got right to it, it jumped. Yikes. I threw the towel over it and bundled it up. As I was carrying it toward the bathroom door, the little froggie plopped out on the floor and took a big leap. I threw the towel on top of it again. Did the same procedure...over and over again. I just could not get it to stay in the towel. I was bumping and banging around in there, sounding like a bar fight. Finally, success! I was carrying it outside when Hubby asked if everything was all right. Hmmmm. My hero. Thanks a heap. Too little, too late.

Yeh, men are like that, let you fight your own battles, then ask how you are after. They think it's some sort of challenge to get more survival skills. I'm with you, frog belongs outside eating his mosquitoes. JJ

One reason you and John have been together all your years is his sense of humor and your ability to entertain him. Great story.
