First things first. I got my hair cut. Was I looking like a shaggy dog! After that, we did all our business around town before time for the radiation therapy. While we were grocery shopping, I spied an arrowhead vine that was pink. It looked as if it had been painted with a brush on the topside and was green on the underside. It was so unique that I couldn't resist it. I don't know if I can care for it during the winter since our house is a dungeon and gets no light, but I just couldn't help myself. On our way home from therapy, we spied a guy selling the long type of watermelon, not the ice box kind. We got one watermelon and two canteloupes. A friend called and chatted for awhile to see how we were. She said that there was a guy selling melons on her road, right near here. They were a lot cheaper than what we had paid. I guess we'll have to check him out. It was such a busy and tiring day that I couldn't get much else done outside. We had tomato sandwiches for supper. They were so good! I'd better do my housework and get ready to hit the road again. I hope that I'll be able to find a pot for my new arrowhead vine so that I don't have to look at that black plastic pot that it came in.

Good Morning... I hope you will take a picture of this arrowhead vine....never seen one or heard of it.I too got a watermelon and canteloupe yesterday...LOL.Oh,my name is Reba/La. |

Arrowhead is Nepthythis and it has heart-shaped leaves with silver, white or yellow markings and some varieties are marked with pink to red. You have a great day and happy gardening. Bill Mitchell Last edited by bsmitch on July 30th at 6:06 AM. |

I also got two watermelons two different kinds "yummy,yummy" he is selling them for $5 today but they were $4 LOL very good melons! Right across the street how could I resist? Last edited by txrose on July 30th at 9:47 AM. |

Oooh I would love to see a pic too :) I have to drive about 20 minutes to be able to get fresh anything from local growers. Next year I'm planning on growing my own melons (all kinds) and corn :) |

Yes please post a picture of the Arrowhead Vine. I haven't heard of that either. As for the watermelon, I just found this market place that has THE best produce around town. So many different kinds, stuff I've never even heard of, and so inexpensive. Yahoo! |
