still no rain

I hung out my clothes this morning in hopes it would cause some rain. It is real dry here in central florida. I know my county is about to take water restrictions from 2 days a week down to once a week. This is scary, since I have so many new plantings. It will be great when they are established. I chose plants that need little water. I ordered 2 lilac chaste tree.s I am a bit nervous about them. They will be going in the front garden to help with shading. The pics are just right, so I am hoping for a good match at the site I have chosen.I also ordered a cry baby tree. This looks very interesting. It has beautiful flowers. I am off to get in the hot tub to ease them old bones!!

Um. I'm pretty sure you're not being "punished by God". I feel for ya though -- I spent 30 years in Orlando... most of the times there are regular afternoon showers... I'm hoping that will start back up soon for you guys down there :) |

What's a cry-baby tree? Never heard of that one. Hope the fires don't get you. You'd think someone would have devised a way to pipe water from the flooded areas to the dry areas. I can commiserate with you about water restrictions. Toting water is a pain, but you're allowed to do that. When we water the chickens, which we can do, I "accidently" squirt my flowers from time to time! |

I would never have thought that Florida would be on water restictions, When people say Florida you think of swamps and green, not fires and drought. Wow "this world is a changing".I 'll have a talk with my angels for you. People have thought of piping water to other states. It's called keeping the grass green for golfers in desert states.
