About veggiegardener

I grew up on a farm in south central Pennsylvania. Always had my hands in the dirt, and now I make sure my children and grandchildren enjoy it, too. They are small but digging holes can keep them busy for an hour or so, making it easy for me to do what I need to do...This year I started plants indoors from seeds instead of buying everything. I am enjoying looking at them every morning and night when I turn on or off the lamp and see how much they have grown in a day. The bush beans seem to grow daily but the tomato plants are a little slower in their growth rate. The kids are WOWed by the beans getting so big so fast. My little one at home shows them off to anyone that walks thru the door.  Hope to make a few friend here and find more gardening tips from expert PA or close by gardeners.
