Last year there was a larger one that came out of a large planter on my kitchen sill it went down the sink...this one I found while putting a new trash liner in the kitchen trashcan..don't know if it was in the liner box or in the trash....if I knew the name I could put it where its more wanted....like the garden???? I put him out on the front porch by other plants. This one was like 11/2" long.

It's a skink, a type of lizard. They are plentiful in your part of the country.I am wrong on this one. I just looked it up. You have a great day and happy gardening. Bill Mitchell PS. That's a gecko-I have lots of em. Almost see through. They come out a night around here-and the cats are always bringing em inside. They're bug eaters. Anywhere there is lots of cover is good! |

We don't have anything like those here. But in the woods up north we get little salamanders. |

Yep, Gecko is what I see. They are wonderful for eating mosqueitoes. Wish I had more. I brought some with me when I moved here. They also like ants. |

Thank you all! I think I can put up with having house gecko's it sounds like a good pet :) Just don't want to step on one..LOL my son and his wife went to target and when they put their recycling bag on the conveyor belt one worn out tail-less gecko came out and the cashier asked them if that was theirs? lol they took it outside. |

I think geckos eat black widows also. When a family of them moved into my garden, I saw no more widows. |
