The good is that spring is FINALLY on it's way here. I have some shrubs and bushes starting to bud. I think a few of them are lilac bushes. I am so excited! I also found out today that I am going to have a greenhouse! Courtesy of my wonderful neighbor.
The bad is that although we have early spring weather and temps, it is going to snow.....again! Only supposed to get 3-6 inches. I figure it will be here and gone pretty quick. The back of our first acre is flooded already. The new snow will flood it a bit more. But hey!.....it won't last long. Gotta have high hopes!
The ugly is the pics I am posting on this blog. They are the before pics of a few places in our yard. What a mess! My labor of love will get things in shape. I will keep things updated with pics of our progress. It will be a slow progress as this yard has nothing done to it.

That last picture looks like a red neck pond down here in Kentucky, all it needs a rusty refrigerator laying next to the wheel. I am sorry for my local humor, being a real hillbilly, I'm inbreed. I love my neighbors but none of them has offered a greenhouse. Great that you have a clean slate and have been able to see how your land is as far as how the water drains etc. Happy plantin' and seedin', Linda B from SC |

Bill! You are so funny! Redneck pond.....well, it's true. Hubby is a welder/fabricator. He has plans to cut a big new fire ring on a plasma cutter. It will be a cutout of flames on metal that will rust. It should look real cool with the light from a fire going through it. |
