About thequiltedgardener
Our house is set on just over a half-acre lot in a mostly wooded development. We started clearing the lot in 2000 and each year I have expanded or added to the flower beds.
Last year we put in five 4' x 8' lasagna garden raised beds for vegetables. In addition to planting three of them with squash, cucumbers and basil I used a bed intended for flowers to grow tomatoes, peppers and green beans.
Gardening is something I do alone unless a gardening friend is over because my family does not share my passion for gardening. There is something about gardening that feeds my soul.
