Well, it's August already. Almost time to go back to work. Haven't done anything in the garden this year. It's been so blasted hot and humid, you can't stand being outside for long. Haven't had any rain that amounts to much. The grass looks like a hay field. Have been watering the tomatoes and peppers every day to keep them alive. Even the little stick things growing in the grass have quit growing. Just waiting for Fall to come along. Have some major plans for my garden this year. Most of my flowers need to be moved. Some need to be replaced and need to add some new ones. Have been getting catalogs from all over to get some ideas of what I want to add to the garden.
My Seven Sisters rose bush, it was looking like it died this spring. Trimmed it up and put some new mulch around it. It has grown like crazy. Haven't even watered it. Just what rain we have had is all the water it has been getting. And it is still growing. pretty hardy if you ask me!!

I am so happy right now!!! I finally can add photos to my blog area. Went to the Forum under general questions. They were discussing photos and I tried it and it worked. Have went back to my blogs and edited them. I put pictures in my blogs. YEA!!!!!!!! I am going to put one here now. OK
This makes me happy, it's a little blurry, but it made me happy shopping for these boots. I had been wanting a pair of old work boots for my garden. Now I have them and I'm HAPPY!!!!

Today there was a crop duster flying over our house. It was a very pretty bright Yellow plane. He was just at the top of the trees. It really looks like a scary thing to do. Indiana just started allowing crop dusters to run here again. My hubby, who knows everything, lol, says the are suppose to have 150 more. I took some pictures of the plane flying over. They aren't very good, but you can make out the plane. I will be putting them in my photo album. I haven't yet figured out how to get the photos into my blogs. So haven't put any here yet. Hoping to figure that one out one of these days. LOL

Well, my computer hard drive crashed. Haven't had a computer for a day and a half. It was awful!!!!! Need to get a back up system of some kind so when it crashes I will something else. Lost all my bookmarks. So have been hoping around trying to find all my sites I used to go to. Some of them I couldn't remember my passwords, so can't get into them. That's a bummer!! Luckily I remembered this one!!

I have gotten a new software product for my computer. It is called Photo Mix. It allows me to make my pictures into scrapbook pages. Yes, I am a scrapbooker. At this time I have 10 scrapbook albums I am working on. One of them is my garden album. I done a page with my new Photo Mix. I would put it here, but can't for the life of me figure out how to get photos into my blog. LOL Maybe one of these days I will. In the mean time I will put the photo in my picture album titled 2007. Take a look if you want. I think this new software is awesome!!!!!!

The grass has turned green again after the rain we got. But we really need some more. Some places are still brown. I live 4 miles from Marion, and they have brown grass. It always amazes me that there can only be 4 miles difference in our towns and they don't get as much as we do!!!!! It is suppose to rain today. Hopefully we'll get a little more than 1/2 inch. Since this is 4th of July, maybe it will hold off until the fireworks are shot off.

We finally got some rain. I mean some rain. It wasn't too much but it was more than we were getting. Don't have to water the garden for awhile!! Now will have to mow the yard though!! LOL Oh well, it's better than brown grass for sure.

Tag: Not enough rain
We need rain really bad. It has been raining all around us, but we don't seem to get any. It rained some yesterday. But not enough. The flowers in the garden don't look good this year. I think it has a lot to do with the mixed up weather we had in the spring. It was really warm and nice about a week. All the plants were coming out. And then It got cold and snowed. That was on April 15. And then not enough rain since April has made everything kind of blah, if you know what I mean.

This is a picture of a garden area outside my backdoor. I have been trying to grow flowers here for about 10 years. I've tried Balloon Flowers, Tulips, Mums, Lilies, and Petunias. None of them have worked. I personally think it's cursed. LOL I don't know what the problem is. This spot is sitting over an old well. The well is covered and I built this garden over it. At the moment grass seems to be the only thing that grows there really good. Am thinking about taking it apart and let the grass grow. I would put a picture here. But haven't figured out how to do that yet. I'll have to work on that one.

It finally rained some here. As of yesterday we were 3.75 inches below for rain. We haven't had lots of rain since March. Just little showers that didn't last long. Everyone's grass is brown and you have to water the gardens every day. The showers we have been getting are hit and miss. And we have been missing them.

I added the Unknow flower to my photos. I am hoping someone here will know the name of this flower. I have had it for about 20 years. It has a beautifl stalk bloom that comes up the middle. Mine is white. I got this plant from my mother. She had one that was huge. It was about 3ft. by 3ft. It reminds me of a Mother-in-law's tongue plant. But I don't think that is the name of this plant.

I found this new place on the internet. I was searcing for the name of a flower that is in my garden. This is the place i picked out of my google search. It seems like a good place to be.
