Too Cold for To Do List...
Feb 13, 2008 | 12:23 PM PST
Well, I have gotten spoiled. We have been having very mild temps here lately. Highs in the 60's sometimes even reaching to the 70's! I have been taking advantage of this and getting so much done in the garden. So, the other day I jotted down a nice little to do list for myself in the garden today (to work on after my half day at work) I was going to try out my new pole pruner, do some light weeding, doctor up an autumn fern that is looking somewhat helpless, and do some various pruning tasks. All the while waiting on my hubby to bring home a truck load of compost to spread around the back yard. Well, it rained last night and the high today is 33...it actually even flurried a bit earlier. So, I gave my husband reprieve...assuming the last thing he would want to do was shovel wet poop in the freezing weather. Also, there is a wind advisory...so It is just way to cold and blustery to be out there....so I am stuck inside to look at gardening books and shows. But, a good exscuse to rest. Tomorrow the weather should return to what I got used to and onward I will go!
