My chickens have finished moulting and are starting to lay eggs again! And my autumn seedlings are sprouting away - all of them have germinated. It has been really hot lately so I haven't had much chance to garden. I did plant some pansies in one of my vegetable patches and the possums ate all of my snowpeas right down to the ground.. they dug under the greenhouse and got in that way! I've seen some rozellas visiting one of my trees regularly, but they appeared to be moulting or mangy. I didn't manage to get any photos but they are worrying me in case they are sick. My limes were lovely. I have some small mandarins - i hope they reach maturity soon! And I'm hoping it doesn't get too cold too soon. Enjoy spring on the other side of the world! :)

Not too cold.. 14F (-10C) min. during winter. I just hope winter doesn't come early as it always feels like it does :) |

I always wanted to visit Australia, but I've gotten too paralyzed to do that kind of adventure. A few years ago, when I was in Rio, I meet a bloke from Broome, Australia who was in the cultured pearl business. He roused my interest and I put the trip on my short list. But life changes and short list had to be abandoned. I am sorry I will never see it, but I now have you as my eyes to your wonderful country. Thank you. I enjoyed your site soooo much. Felt like I took a trip. I love your pictures. Do you show your chicks? My Hubby wanted to live in Australia at one time. I wasn't aware that it is so tropical. Got to visit you more often! |

I wish I could show you all more of Australia - I only have pics of my small region. Australia has all sorts of climates because it is so huge - it takes 7 hours by plane to get to the further destinations. I want to live in tropical Australia but the most urban centres are South where it's cooler. |
