So, this year won't be the year for a 'real' garden, the one that I want! But I am still trying to be this great 'gardener' -we'll see if I can container grow...
I have just the regular flowers, and tomatoes & jalepenos, and herbs to come... I just planted them in temporary container pots -until they get too big for them, then of course I will have to re-plant them...

Container gardening has its advantages (e.g. keeping out the weeds!), and its disadvantages, among which is that here in the Deep South we have to water our containers once a day and some plants require a twice daily watering. We are saving whatever water we can indoors (from washing fruits, vegetables, etc.) and use it for our containers.
I started summer a year ago with all container gardening. We were living in a townhome at the time. Our patio was stuffed. We now have a back yard. My preference is still container gardening....because you have more "quality control." My goal is to work on the soil over the next few months so that I can get rid of my "container crutch." Happy Gardening....
