About psottcon

Hello, I'm a gardener from Ohio who loves to study the environment and natural habitats.  I have a perennial garden that extends the full length of my yard and then some.  My gardens are my haven, my happy place, away from hustle-bustles of work and routine tasks.   I've been experimenting with my water garden which has been keeping me very busy.  I tell friends that I love spending time watching the birds and butterflies that come to visit my gardens, but if I were truthful, I would have to say that it's difficult to just sit there without pulling a weed or cleaning the birdbath!  When I do choose to sit near the gardens, I am usually grading papers or doing some type of professional reading.  This past winter I set up an indoor greenhouse which is something I've always wanted to do.  This kept my hands in the dirt all winter.  I was in heaven!  I started from seed marigolds, sweet peas, zinnias, impatiens and tomatoes.  I love to experiment with plants and am open to suggestions for next winter's projects.
