About palmettogal

I don't garden nearly as much as I read about gardening. A vegetable garden each year is the biggest thing I do, but other than that I mostly just have this here and that there when it comes to flowers...most often shared plants from friends and family.  I love hostas but don't have enough shade yet. I've killed confederate jasmine more times than I can count (unheard of in the South!).  I deep-sixed my tulips. My roses have black spot.  I hope to see at least one pecan hit the ground before I die. Still...I'd rather have dirt between my toes and under my nails any day of the week!!!

Mockingbird thief

April Showers, May rains, June storms
EEEEEKKKK! You know the old saying, "be careful what you wish for".  Last year we were struggling through drought status and begging for rain, rain rain. This year I think every storm is targeting my yard. It's great for the trees, shrubs, and flower...
