I had to share this beautiful Luna Moth! In all my years of gardening I have to admit this is a first for me! I have seen many types of butterflies, birds, and all sorts of bugs. But what a treat to have this visitor stop by my new Habitat Garden. Its a shame they have such short lives!
Here is my first Tiger Swallowtail for the spring season. He seemed to love the new native bottlebrush buckeye
that I recenty planted.

Several years ago I too had my backyard certified. That was rather a thrill. After doing some cleaning out, I may have to redo it again someday. Nothing like a little lively motion to make a yard a home. Linda B |

I agree Linda, I love drinking my morning coffee out there! Yes it is a thrill to have a certified habitat, I wish I thought of doing it years ago. I hope to keep my camera handy to get some more shots of my visitors. |

Oh, what a sight. I have never seen such beautiful butterfly and first time I have heard of it. What a thrill for you. Thank you for sharing it. I really can't get enough of it, I had to admire and look at it many many times. How ever can such butterfly show up here in my garden. Hmmmnnn. |

I was very thrilled to see a Luna moth for the very first time. I have read that they are similar to butterflies. So It is possible to see one if you have a butterfly garden. |
