About mysteryluvr54

Love having my morning coffee on the porch to start my day.  I watch the birds and animals busily working.   I look over my yard and all the work we have done to make it beautiful and what we can add to it each new season.    I like reading humorous mysteries.   I like to take walks.   I love to cook and try different dishes.    I like to travel.

2010 - has brought the loss of my mom in April and my husband in Oct.  I'm thankful to still have my job and it's busy as ever.  Didn't do any gardening this year under the circumstances.  Just whatever popped up.  Did have to remove the apple trees because of disease so the back is bare.  Almost got to eat the grapes, but the racoons or possums got them first.  Did enjoy some raspberries.  The garden just grew weeds this year.  I'm hoping to salvage it this spring.  Hoping for a better and uneventful 2011.

Cold
Too cold to even think about gardening, but I'm trying.   First get the inside cleaned out.  I had some nice potted plants from the funeral arrangement, but the kitties got to most of them.

Life has thrown me a curve ball
This has not been a good month around here.  Besides some health & work issues with my husband which has thrown me back into the full-time, better get some benefits mode, we have been having some tremdous amounts of rain here in the Chicago area.  I ...

Still a good summer
Weather's been great this year.  I like it in the high 70's and with low humidity.  With 3 kids in college I've had to take on a full-time office job so no more preschool fun.  I have to get use to being away from home & garden and only being abl...
