Hi there! Hope this finds all of you doing well and enjoying your summer. McKenzi and I are well. Getting ready for school to start, good night I will be glad when the day arrives! Not because of anything, but she is driving me crazy with "Is today the day I go to kindergarden (did you catch that) for a while she was sure she was going to learn to plant little kid gardens now she is going to "grow up and learn all there is to learn"...lol. I'm scared, I'm sure this too will pass. We have been lucky here. Not super hot temps like some of you are having to endure. I've been helping in my Uncles garden wow it is really going to town. So remember I told you he dumps all the lef over veggies etc in the garden and covers it up? Well to his suprise he has a few corn stalks and strawberry plants that have popped up in one corner. I know that corn starts from a kernel, but I didn't think the strawberry would, it's just one of those things I guess.
So I'm off for now, but I will be back soon. Thank you all for your prayers and for checking up on us, you are a wonderful group of people! Love to all!
Trinity
Hi! Hope this finds all of you doing great! I'm missing my yard and garden terribly. The good news is that my Uncle (which is where I'm staying) lets me play in his container gardens (flower) and he has a nice sized veggie garden. He is doing compost as he goes. He has a "slop bucket" and he digs holes and throws the scraps in and as it breaks down he works it into the soil around the existing plants. It seems to be working. The weather has been warm here. Dry off and on. Oh well you can't win them all right?
Take care friends, I will keep in touch. Love you all and GOD bless!!

Hi friends! I know it has been forever since my last blog, for that I am sorry. I have moved out of my home and am in the process of filing for divorce. Things have been super crazy! Up until the day I left my roses were doing beautiful, not quite opened, but I'm guessing the blooms are going to be huge! I dug up my pansies and columbines and left the rest. I won't be on to often until I get McKenzi and I settled. But know that I love all of you and happy gardening! GOD Bless!!
~Trinity~
Well I don't know if its a good morning, but it is morning. The sun is shining so I'll give thanks for that. Today is trash day, I asked my husband to set the trash out last night, he said, "sure give me 5 min", I said, "ok". Well, he didn't. So when I woke up I hurried out there eyes still not focused unlocked the gate and made a mad dash for the curb. So did the dog.... Now I can't find the dog. McKenzi doesn't know yet. So if you have an extra prayer laying around would you say one that Dixie comes home! Man that is gonna break Kenzi's heart and it could be a really long day!!
Take care my friends! ~Trinity~
Good Morning Friends,
It is a rainy morning here, and I am just fine with that. Gods water makes everything grow a whole lot better and its free sooo its a win win situation.
I had to let you all know, putting that Epsom Salt and Bone Meal down was a great thing! This time last year I had leaves all over all my Roes bushes, but this year the leaves look healthier and there are soooo many more. Wow I can hardly wait to see what they look like once they really get going!
Have a great day everyone and God Bless you all! ~Trinity~
Goooood gravy is it windy here! The last two days it's been nice and warm, but man that wind can stop just any time now! Yesterday was trash day, there was trash flying higher than the birds and I would've hated to be a bicyclist yesterday, out of now where here comes a trash can chasin you down the street at top speed. Knowing my luck my shoe string would've got caught on the peddle and a can would've hit my tire and I would've gone down.....LOL! I can see it now, me laying in the street laughing my head off, and bleeding, there's always bleeding and no camera so I could get rich off my accident. LOL.
Ok enough of that. My grass is growning where I planted a few weeks ago, super excited about that. And I'm happy to report the bus stop people have managed to stay off it thus far....YAHOOOOOO! Rose bushes are still putting on all kinds of leaves, oh man I can hardly wait!!! McKenzi's strawberry plants are going to town, she's still got an eagle eye on them....lol.
Our project at the moment is redoing the porch at our front door. The cement was cracking and after a freeze or two it became very weak. One morning I stepped out the door and with just a small amount of pressure from my toes on my left foot there was a hole.....ggggrrrrr. So Hubby and I are tearing it out, and we (I mean he) will start fresh this weekend. There is no place for me when it comes to playing with cement, so I'll supervise. We know why it was so weak though. There was just about 1/4 of an inch of cement on the top. Under it is small rocks and an occasional brick that has been broken into 2 or 3 pieces....hmmmmm. Somebody was in a hurry I guess. I have to say beating the porch into pieces is a real stress reliever. While my hands were a little sore afterwards my soul felt lighter..lol. I have more flowers to plant in the front, but I will wait until the porch is all done just to be safe.
Hope all of you are having a great week! Take care and God Bless you all!! ~Trinity~
I hope everyone had a great Easter with family and friends! Ours wasn't too bad. Went to church and celebrated the reserection of our Savior and then had family time. McKenzi got to hunt eggs for the first time in her 5yrs of life. All the other years it had been raining or snowing and hiding them in the house was too easy, she lost interest very quickly. When she was done I turned those eggs into Deviled Eggs...yummmmmy!
Saturday I pulled the weeds on the south side of my fence. They were out by the side walk. It was beautiful when I started and all of a sudden here comes the wind. It was blowing so hard it could have blown the shingles off the roof. So I went inside rinsed the dirt out of my mouth and let the wind die down. While I was waiting I started thinking, grass or flowers in that area? Hmmmm, I'm thinking flowers. It kind of runs at a slope and I think all the seed would get washed out before it could get going. So I'm thinking, I will go get some bulbs and plant them. They will have to be something hardy that can withstand the sun, that spot gets sun pretty much all day. (90% I'd say)
Ooooohhh, I almost forgot. The grass that I planted along the drive way....it's coming up...YAHOOOOO! Now if I can just get the bus stop people to stay off the stuff I'll be doing great. I almost want to rig a BB gun to fire at them if they step on it, cut thru my yard or leave trash! Ok I won't lie, I WANT TO do that. It's sad people don't have respect for anybody any more.
I also have all kinds of leaves popping on my Rose bushes, ooooo I can hardly wait. Bill told me to put some epsom salt down and then a lady at the bus stop (lol) told me to use Bone Meal.....well I did both. I don't know if one or both are making the difference but they look really good already! So Thank you Bill and bus stop Lady!
Well, quiet time is over. Little Miss McKenzi is awake and ready to rock and roll. Have a great day every one! Take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Good Morning Friends!
Let me catch you up since my last blog. We did go sledding and had a GREAT time. I put some video on my FB page if you would like to check it out. Trinity Smith is how I am listed just let me know you're from GG and I will accept you as a friend, (Miss Reba, we did have a blast!) I didn't get picts of it because I was busy mannning McKenzi. By the afternoon the snow was all melted.....crazy! But thats Colorado for you.
Then Wed. of this week it snowed like crazy again! It was wet and heavy. I had to cover my Hyacinths, which are opening by the way. The snow broke a big branch off the tree in the backyard, which was the home of McKenzi's tree swing. She is very angry about that......me, I'm happy as a lark, as now my grass will grow in that spot cause she won't be trampling it...lol. Mom 1, child 0! ha ha ha. There were several branches in the front yard that were broken as well. One was right over the top of my car. I was very blessed as it didn't come all the way down until I got my car moved. Thank you GOD! I will post some picts in my album. I'm not sure why but I can't get them to post in my blog.

We are awaiting more snow today.....YUK YUK YUK!!! I don't know what we will do today, but I'm thinking we may go to the Outdoor Colorado Expo. I was watching the news and there are some gardener/train lovers who put train tracks thru out their gardens and they have kindly set up some displays. Sounds neat. I'll be sure to get picts and share with you.
Have a great weekend everybody & God Bless! ~Trinity~
Yep, the weathermen were right, we got snow. Not really sure how much though. It was blowing snow at some points, but it's enough to give some good moisture thats for sure! It's pretty cold here this morning and the high is suppose to be 33, but tomorrow, well thats a whole other story, 50's, YES!!!
Think we are going to go sledding with my Uncle today. That should be fun. McKenzi is the apple of my Uncle's eye. I don't know who is more excited her or my Uncle..lol.
I hope all of you have a really great weekend with nice warm weather! Take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Good Morning Friends~
Yesterday was a very productive day. It was 70 degrees and I couldn't have asked for more. Remember I had told you about the patch along side my driveway that was bare and full of weeds last summer? Well, yesterday I got out there with the shovel, garden weisle and a rake. I turned it all over broke it up and cleaned it out. WHOA! My Hubby threw down some grass seed for me, the only problem is that I didn't buy enough. So I get to take another trip to the nursery........YAHOOOOO! I'm trying to fingure out where I would like to put a flower box of some sort in there. I have one rose bush there and plenty of space for some more flowers. This is also where that horrible bus stop is, so my thought is maybe if I put some more flowers in there, the folks riding the bus will he less apt to leave thier trash behind and cut through my driveway into my yard and back to the sidewalk.......maybe....hmmmm.
Today after I get more grass seed, I will throw down that and some fertilizer as we are suppose to get 5-10 inches of snow tomorrow. That will be great for the new seed!
My Columbines are turning green......YAAAAAAY! McKenzi's strawberries are starting to take off too. Her patience is wearing thin already though. Everyday she goes out and checks them. And everyday she says, "Mom why's God taking so long? Doesn't he know I just want them to grow so I can eat them with my lunch? It's not too much longer til lunch time and they aren't going to be ready" She is sooooo funny.
I hope all of you are doing well. Have a wonderful day! God Bless you! ~Trinity~
YAHOOOOOOO! I finally got the chance to go out and play! I put the epsom salt around my roses, and put down fresh mulch. Then I moved on to the other flower beds and cleaned out the remaining (or at least I hope) leaves, feed them and put down mulch. I already have some buds on a couple of my rose bushes. I'm sooooo excited, can you see me dancing around? Well I am! Today is chilly and we are getting sleet, but I see it as free water. Also I know Spring is just around the corner, so no worries!
We woke up late this morning and didn't make it to church. So we went to the Butterfly Pavillion. So AWESOME! Now, as soon as I can get the picts off my cell phone I will post them on here in another blog.
I am reading a GREAT book right now. The Shack, by Wm Paul Young. If you like to read and have some spare time, do pick it up. I promise you'll love it!
Hope all of you are having a wonderful Sunday! Take care and God Bless! ~Trinity~
Hello friends! Hope this finds all of you doing well, in good health, spirits and enjoying wonderful weather.
The weather is decent here for now. We may get rain, snow or rain snow mix in the next couple of days. I'm praying for rain. I won't be taking my trip to New Mexico, I'm rather bummed out about that. But everything happens for a reason.......right? Yeah I will go with that.
My Hyacinths are really going to town now, no blooms just yet and thats ok. I sure can't wait to see them and open my bedroom window and have thier fragrance fill my room! I'm going to try and get outside tomorrow and put some Epsom salt and bone meal down around my rose bushes. I had planned to do that a while back and never got it done. (The white stuff put a stop to that) There are some places in my yard that are turning green......can't wait to mow.
McKenzi's other front top tooth is loose and she can hardly stand the wait for A. taking a big bite of apple and it come out and B. The arrival of the toothfairy. That money is burning a hole in her pocket and the tooth is just barley loose......she's so funny.
Well I'm off to read bedtime stories. Have a great evening and God Bless! ~Trinity~
12 days and McKenzi and I head off to New Mexico. My niece is turning 1! I am sooooo excited. I have a wonderful sister in law who keeps me up to date with current picts, videos, and stories of my niece and her growth. The added bonus is I get to see 2 of my3 little brothers so that makes it even better. I am a little worried about the weather because of the accident and it always seems that there is weather on Raton Pass. Normally Shane is with me so I can just let him drive.Well, he won't be going on this trip and I'm nervous. But I believe that God will certainly make a way! I want get my niece something great, noisy and fun! Any suggestions? I think we will finger paint, eat chocolate and make a giant mess while I'm there.....LOL! Oh I can hardly wait. I realize what goes around comes around, but they have to come around for it to happen...ha ha ha! Of course I have to be careful because I can't have McKenzi acting all crazy...LOL. Oh I'm bad, but its good, and thats my right as an Aunt right? Right!
We took a trip to Home Depot today. Not much going on in the garden center. But I did find some Dahlia bulbs. Oh will I be doing some research! Obviously they grow here or they wouldn't be selling them. I just want to know the in's and out's. What BEAUTIFUL flowers! And outstanding water scape kits they had. Oh am I going to be busy. I need to win the lottery right about now, lol. That will be hard considering I don't even play.....oh I crack me up.
Well I'm off to bed. Wish me luck and say a prayer for me. It's suppose to snow again tonight and it has been 3 weeks since I've been to church and I NEED and WANT to be there tomorrow. Our Pastor is going to sing the sermon, I can hardly wait! (sick 1 week, the wreck the next and snow last week.) Have a great evening and a WONDERFUL Sunday friends! God Bless! ~Trinity~
What a wonderful gift........I step out the door this morning and I look over to the left of the porch and I see it........Green. What? Could it be true? Yes ......my Hyacinth's are coming up!!!! YAHOOOOOO! I think all of you can imagine how truly excited I am at this moment. God is good and winter is almost over. I hope there is something green popping up in your gardens, and for those of you who already have flowers I am sooooo happy for you!
Have a great afternoon everybody! God Bless all of you! ~Trinity~
I don't know when that white stuff will be back, not any time soon I hope!
Finally saw the sun today for the first time in I think 4 days so that was nice! It was super freezing and melting some of that S#@w (my hope is if I don't spell it out it won't come back for a while....wishful thinking....LOL) which is creating lots of mud in my empty flower beds, and that is currently McKenzi and Dixie's favorite place to be so I am having to mop a lot. Oh well at least they are having fun! Other than that there isn't too much going on here. I think thats a good thing.
Have a great evening friends! God Bless you all! ~Trinity~
