I have a granddaughter who has just had her interview for admittance to the Ontario College of Art and Design. I have no idea where she gets her talent from. It's certainly not from me. You can view more of her work in my album entitled 'Jesse's Art', but I thought I'd share a few of my favourites via my blog.
The photo doesn't do this one justice. I've asked to buy it from her when she's ready to part with it. She's said she'll give it to me, but I'd pay another artist to acquire it, why not my own granddaughter??
This portrait of John Lennon fascinates me. It's a 'fractured' piece, made up of the lyrics of one of his songs. Take a closer look below:
The next one is a very large piece, created using the pointillism technique (thousands of tiny dots).
Here is a photo of Jesse and her mom (my daughter) in front of some of Jesse's work on display at an art show.
As you may have guessed, I'm a proud mom and grandma.

Beautiful work! Love pointillism; Seurat fan. I stand in awe of all who are creative. I have a daughter at the Art Institute of Chicago - to be able to draw, paint, scuplt, etc and have something recognizable as an end result is a gift. Both of your girls are lovely. Thanks for sharing-such a treat! ~Andrea
