Well, 2 weeks into kindergarten and he loves it. I'm so happy, and he has only lost one recess because of his behavior , that makes me even happier. And there has been no fight about doing homework, YEA!!  Went to the my first PTO meeting Thurs. (forgot to wash "SUCKER" off my forehead first. Not only am I helping with the fall festival and parties for the class I'm in charge of the year book for the primary school grades K-2.  What have I done??? I said I'm a kindergarten mom and they looked at me like I was a steak placed in front of a lion. another k-mom got talked into vice-president. I don't know whats worse. It will all be okay. It will all be okay.

 Where does the time go??   I've been asking myself that a lot lately.  As we finish the last summer that won't be "summer break".  You know when you give birth everyone says "don't blink because they will grow up when your not looking".  Well I didn't think I had but some where along the line I had to of,  because my baby is going to kindergarten in 4 days.  I was sure this was not going to bother me I would be okay, but I'm sitting here crying thinking of  putting him on the bus.  I asked him to day if he wanted me to pick him up after his first day and he said no I want to ride the bus home.  I think it hit hard to day because he is now ready. All the clothes, backpack, lunch box, folder, and last but not least shoes have been bought. Monday is open house and parent orientation, Wednesday testing, and  Thursday is the big day.  Where did it go???

Well, on to other things, my flowers are doing well, even if the veggies are not.  The first of the glads bloomed this week and the front bed is beautiful. and the new additions to the pond plants have taken hold and doing well.

It's time to say good night and have a sunshiny day tomorrow.

It's raining again, and I'm stuck inside with so much to do outside. The flower beds need weeded, flowers need tied up along with tomatoes again, the waterfall needs to be rebuilt for the umptenth time this year. I keep threatening the dogs and the child but non of them listen. They are all after the chipmunks that live in the rocks. Th dogs did get one of the little rat#!!%*! s.  I was so proud. But I think I have devised a plan that will out smart them all this time.  LIQUID NAILS !!  I am going to liquid nail the rock and the waterfall base all together and add some moth balls in the center to make it not such a desirable place for little rotten chipmunks.

On the brighter side of all this rain and 80 degree temps. the flowers are loving it.  they are nice and full and in full bloom .   And my water lilies have sent up two buds . I cannot wait for them. Next to lilacs they are my favorite flowers.

Well if it stops raining I off to pick blueberries for jam and buy some liquid nails. Have and sunshiny day.

I guess the main reason I garden besides the flowers is to can food for my family so I know what is going in our bodies.  It started with a deer my husband had shot 9 years go and has turned into a huge undertaken which seems to grow every year.  The strawberry jam is completed, waiting for the raspberries to ripen. Tomorrow we start a new adventure with the picking and canning of the peas.  Hopefully this will not turn out to be like the green beans. My son ,who is 5 , will not eat green beans from the store now. and he looks and Grandma funny when she gets a jar of jelly from the store out for his pb&j. I"ve created a monster.

/u>Will  I ever stop saying that on a daily basis when it comes to the flower beds and garden, I'm Thinking not. So here are my latest dilemmas. The SLUGGS I hate them but they seem to love my plants is there any thing that I can do besides the beer. they are drinking a 6 pack a week.
