My friend wants to give me her climatis. It is about 3 years old, already established. What is the best way to transplant it?
Thanks Lambsear

Hi there, I am kinda new to this wedsite, but I love the fact that I can have such a great resource. I have posted a progression of my garden. It was created last year, and man has it come along. It was originally a dump site. All it took was 2 friends with a couple of ideas and some sweat. and 2 months later, a garden. I am amazed at what 2 people can do it they just put there minds to it! My name is lambsear.

I was given a butterfly bush in the fall from a friend. Back in March we had some warm weather and my bush started to shoot out new growth. We then had some cold weather, around 30 degres and snow. My established butterfly bushs feet away are already having new growth, while my bush I planted in the fall looks dead. I pruned a little to see if there was any green inside the stem, but saw nothing. Do you think it went into shock and died?
Or just that it's alive, but more torwards the ground.
Help--thanks!
