As I am getting ready to say goodbye to 2011, I am excited for what 2012 will bring. It was a gorgeous 53º here today and was 60º yesterday. I decided to stop into the garden and was surprised by something that I had forgot about. See photo:
The radishes I had given up on in September were beautifully growing peeking out from under a protective cover of fallen leaves. They didn't look very pretty when I pulled a few, however, once I cleaned them up they tasted fantastic. Really gets me dreaming about 2012 and the early Spring planting season that will be here before I know it.

Your 53-60 sounds like a tropical holiday to me! We have been freezing here (Seattle area) and the rain has started. Amazing that you still had something to harvest. Happy 2012! Let spring hurry! |

It was almost 60 degrees today here in Kentucky. So different from last year with snow on the ground almost every day in December. I don't grow radishes, but your look wonderful. |

This has been very strange weather for Nebraska as well. I am holding tight, wondering what January will bring. |

Its been a while, just wondering how your sunchokes did. I just harvested mine today and got about 2 pounds worth of tubers! |
