except for the growing. The plants look a little sick because there all tranplants from my rose beds. I am notplanting anything but roses around my pond area. I have tried and the roses don't like to share their space.So I redid some areas around the pond. I planted 2 roses from Wally Mart this spring,paid 2 dollars, They have never stopped blooming. Go figure I have spent anywhere from $15 on up for roses. Oh well we live and learn.

All that work, but I think it looked better before you moved everything! And I've had the same experience with a cheap plant.....I bought a Butterfly plant, beautiful for $10 (or so). The salesman talked me into taking a half-dead one that was marked down for $1.50! I mean this plant may have been more than "half" dead. You guessed it!! It is just as pretty and healthy, and just as big as the other. You can't tell them apart. Good luck on your pond, Hilda |

A garden project is really our own personal project, but we all enjoy showing the success and beauty to everyone. That isn't an ego trip but a loving, giving of our self to all our friends. Keep up the good work and happy gardening. Bill Mitchell |

Hilda, I agree the pond area is bare,but next year I am planting roses in the spaces where I took out the perinnials.There are so many roses I want to try. And I have never had a space for hosta's til now. Lol Any excuse to go plant shopping LOL Kerryh |
