I am new to blogging so I hope I am doing this right.I like the idea of using this as a way of recording whats happening in my garden . So here goes...
I have started 9 flats of seeds, I am a bit late this year I like to get them going in early March. I have Petunias cascade mix ,orchid mist ,and red perouette,I grew these last year and loved them. I also have started snaps ,zinnas, stocks lobelia, annual scabiosa dark blue & rose salmon.and marigolds for my veggie garden.
New seeds I am trying this year area a perennial, Agastache, blue compact I am thinking this will be good in the rock garden we will see..... I also have a new morning glory mini bar rose, dwarf with ivy like leaves which are variegated white and green they might be nice in baskets, some highly scented heirloom sweet peas, a nasturtium with a darker leaf and compact growing habit and a cucumber, sultan, sweet ,crisp ,and can be pick when just a few inches long I have collected some seeds from a few interesting and tasty mini tomotes so I will try these as well
This is the first season for me to use my new potting shed it is great doing up my flats in there so much easier in the natural light to see some of the very fine seeds when planting and no mess inside the house thats a good thing too!! ( I do love my shed , Thank You Sweetie) Its going to be perfect for harding off my plants when the time comes. Weather here has been cold and Easter was snowy so not much happening yet I am glad I was off when we had that warm spell in March , the garden is cleaned up and ready to go .
