About karla
I'm a zone 5 desert dweller. Since I'm retired and ready to travel, a condo makes sense for me. I love to garden; I have a small and wonderful private green space which grows way more than its small dimensions would indicate. Our condo community is currently undergoing a facelift: old cedar removed, new stucco and aluminum installed. Lovely and much needed! I bring in some of the outdoors during winter, since we have hard frosts and snow for 6 months of the year. I have orchids, bougainvillea and hibiscus blooming inside at any given time. Then those guys move happily outdoors for the summer in my hot shade. It's a challenge! Now our landscaping needs work, so my gardening bug is giving me a rash. I'm so happy to have found Garden Guides.com!
