We had wind gusts up to 45 MPH last night and again today. Later ,in the afternoon, it died down a bit. I went for a walk in the woods. There, to my surprise, were a bunch of Coral Mushrooms. Picked a few, left a lot. I'll flash freeze them and use them in cooking this winter.
Everything in the garden received a "spanking" from Mother Nature last night. But, all in all, they faired pretty good. There were a few trees blown down and topped off around the lake. I hope Ike is through with us. I don't Like Ike.
The hint of fall is in the air. Trees are taking on that faded green. It was actually chilly today.
I'm counting the days till we go to Branson to see Johnny Mathis. We saw him in Memphis a couple of years ago. I've been in love with his music since I've been a young girl.
Didn't get much sleep last night, so I'm turning in early tonight.
