Hello,

This flower grows profusely in the wild in a nature/recreational area near me. I find it very pretty.

Can anyone help me with identifying it? I have posted the pictures of it in an album named 6/29/2012 Spillway flower.

carolyncat353	Jul 2, 2012 \| 7:13 AM PST I believe it is a member of the hibiscus family. The leaves and buds look like Texas Star hibiscus. Could be a Mallow of some type, also.
