About jmillerfl

I hate these about me things . . . I much prefer to be a hermit. Working on my own personal spiritual path, I decided to create a meditation garden about 3 years ago. I enjoy many things of a metaphysical nature, rocks and crystals and the magical properties and folklore of plants. Runes are of a particular interest to me, and I use different ones I painted onto some rocks as plant markers in my garden. I also have a waterfall pond that I built, and continue to work on. I brew my own Kombucha. During my lifetime I have been a portrait photographer, a graphic designer, a shoe salesperson and a mom. I went back to school to study digital media, though never did find a job in my area within that realm. I am working now on a series of self-discovery courses to teach at a local metaphysical bookshop. My garden is my most sacred space.

I don't know if this will even get posted. I've had difficulty getting 2 prior posts to publish.  Continued to get error message, even though I was logged into my account.  So . . . this post is really just a test.

Corn is growing . . . making the mounds for the squash.
I've been so busy lately . . . indoors.  It's really starting to get hot here in Florida . . . mid-80's expected today, and mid-70's this evening. It's starting to heat up early in the morning, so I have to get up with the sun to be able to get any w...

Corn Sprouts! . . . and a suspicious peanut . . .
Every morning . . . checking, checking, checking . . . on my 3 sisters corn mounds. Today, the first signs of life have appeared.  Yesterday, when I checked on them, the only thing I saw was an open peanut shell in the middle of one of the mounds.  I...
