My Roses and a goal

I am surprised at the outcome of my roses. This is the second year since planting and they bloomed beautifully. You can see a photo in my album.
I have a goal this year to try a vegetable container garden. I have planted tomatoes, green beans, squash, zucchini, and cucumbers. I also plan to have a few herbs. I planted strawberries in a hanging basket. Last year I had a small veggie garden, the deer, rabbits and I enjoyed it.
If anyone has any suggestions to help me along, then please do so. I didn't inherit my Dad's green thumb.

Your roses are gorgeous! Mine are "old timey" roses (meaning they were dug from my grandma's yard) and they bloom really great in early spring. The heat and humidity here gets em in the summer-I have to fight black spot constantly. They are beautiful, though |

Wow, your second year is a joy to look at! I wanted to plant some strawberries in a hanging basket but wasn't to sure of the yield. Let me know how well they do. Thanks for your post. |
