 Don't know how many of you have watched the TV show Greatest American Dog, but my pic looks just like Tillman. So now I have a name to go along with my pic. I was so sad to see Tillman leave the show. He was my favorite.

Long and very hot days here in Texas along with the drought have turned my azaleas to scorched leaves. Even dried them up!!!!! What do I do now? Cut one of the taller ones back but not sure if I need to cut the smaller ones back. Please help me out here. What should I do. I removed the landscape material. But don't know if the mulch may not have been deep enough. They perked up so pretty after I removed it. Now the several days of 1003+ temps are really taking a toll on all my gardens. The tomatoe plants are burned on the new growth too. I guess gardening for the week is out. Just hearing on the news that for the next 5 days going to stay above 103, with the heat index rising to 113. Wow this old girl is really looking forward to fall in a BIG way....

Hope everyone is having a good week. 25 days until school starts. My granddaughter and daughter have moved back in with me. So the fun days have come to an end inside the house as well....(not really) Things didn't work out for my daughter and her fiance. Glad nothing bad has come of it except her broken heart.
