Sunday (last week) my hubby and I planted 6 climbing roses. Since I lost all the wonderful shade from the tree trimmers, I thought climbing roses was a good idea. 3 Jacob's Coats- 1 pink peace - 1 lavenda ( not a climber. We also pu1 a white climber on the back fence and a yellow. Today I placed my seedlings in the garden. I have tomatoes, squash, cukes, spinach, cilantro, and a pumpkin plant that came up from a fall display. This has been a very week and a half. Had rain on Sunday morning. I stayed out of the yard all day..So sad..Too tired!!
So much rain lately that roses don't look too good. I got them on sale for $2 ea. so not a real bad loss if they don't make it. I soaked them in water 24 hours then cut them back to 6" like the instructions said. But only one has any leaves showing. I used rooting powder too. Maybe that is what I did wrong.
I was so inspired by one of the blogs today. I am going to the feed store tomorrow to get pole beans to plant by my back fence. It is wooden s I think it won't get too hot.
I put in an annual bed in front. It looks a little bare right now.... Begonias and Celosa
I am so excited my mums are budding and some are opening.. They look so happy in the spot I put them in...
I'll have to take pictures tomorrow..
Was so sorry to here about the tornado that hit VA today. I know we have a few members from VA. and hope they are safe.
Happy Gardening to everyone!!!!

You need, for perfume, a 4th of July and a Don Juan; I have them planted on a trellis and they are so fragrant, I rarely get beyond where they are growing. |
