I have had the butterfly weed for a couple of years. This is the first time I have had the caterpillars on the plant. There's not much left now. If, I get seed this year I will plant every last one, so, I will have plenty for them next time. Now, that I will have more yard. I got my house. I'll move in April 26. The house is old and need lots of TLC and lots, and lots of elbow grease.

Butterflies are pretty, but caterpillars are dangerous to a plant. Kill the caterpillars in your garden because they have plenty of other places to live in the wild to produce more butterflies. Last edited by bsmitch on April 8th at 10:16 AM. |

Thank You, for the advise. I planted the butterfly weed ,so the caterpillars would come. As soon as I get settled, i'm going to make a butterfly garden. |
