Back in April, I purchased three patio tomato plants and realized there were three plants in each pot. They looked lush and full but were root bound in their small pots. I repotted them into nine larger pots. I gave four away to my neighbors and placed the remaining five around different spots in my gardens. Today I picked my first three tomatoes.
Her e is a picture of the plants that they were picked from. Looks like I'll have a couple more pretty soon.
I'm sure they will taste very good for breakfast. Have a great time in yours gardens. Mr Bill
As most of you know, bsmitch and I are the same person. I am his alter ego. We don't always think alike, so today I decided to take some spring garden pictures with a hillbilly state of mind.
New clematis
>
A new purple/blue and white Iris.
Some Spider Wart
And some wild columbine
< /p>
Now, doesn't that feel like a hillbilly moment? Have a great day.
That's right, I've never had amaryllis continuously blooming into the month of April. I did purchase these later in the season, but these bulbs have produced three bloom stalks and that is unusual.
This isn't the end of the show, because there are two more bud stalks that are growing. When these two bloom, that will be it for this season.
More to come in December 2012. Have a good day and go play in your gardens.
March is coming to an end and the Miracle Christmas cactus has been moved outside to the back porch and is still putting on more blooms. It's been doing this since the middle of November.
I went outside to photograph the azaleas and got this butterfly that was flitting from blossom to blossom.

I came back to the porch and Tigger was waiting for me to scratch his back. He adopted us two years ago and joined Kiki and Morris as our house cats.
Hoping everyone is happy and healthy this beautiful Spring day. Mr. Bill
I ordered these on line a month ago. They arrived this morning. The clumps were huge. Three of the "Afraid"
Thre e of the "Dominic"
Thr ee of the "Scarlet Lady"
Two of these "Cedar Waxwing" were a bonus for purchasing the other nine.
I just got through putting them in the ground. It was a little cooler today with a bit of drizzle, but it was fun. Hope everyone has a great day....Mr Bill
The weather has been so nice this week and will continue next week. We've been cleaning up the outside garden and so many plants are beginning. There will be tulip pictures coming soon, but the inside amaryllis just keep changing and showing off. I think they will last into April. I took these pictures an few minutes ago. Enjoy.
So many blossoms, so little space.
I just love red.
Have a great time working in your gardens....Mr Bill
I am so entertained every day with the ever changing colors in the house. I can hardly wait until the 600 or more tulips are blooming this spring in the outside gardens. I'm sharing with you, not just showing off.
Of course the red amaryllis.
Ge t outside and enjoy the late winter before it is gone....Mr Bill
On February 7th, I dug up a pot that I had planted four tulip bulbs in November. And I brought it into the warmth of the house and posted a picture on my blog that day.
It's now two weeks later and here is an update. I took this picture a couple of minutes ago.
They are just beginning to open, but are showing their colors. Way ahead of the tulips out side. Have a great day gardening. Mr Bill
