First poppy

Here it is May 5, 2008 the first poppy is open. Poppies are a favorite in the garden and a memory of long ago of poppies and bachelor buttons in wheat fields announcing the soon summer holidays.

I'm very late on putting my poppy plants in the ground. Maybe next year I will have the enjoyment of seeing them bloom. So glad to hear someone has them in there garden. |
