Divideing Iris= a bad case or poison ivy!!

yesterday I was divideing my iris bed and as it was overgrown with poison ivy, I was worried about getting that poison in my eyes.Well, you guessed it, I am breaking out in blisters all over. When I was a child nothing would make me get that crap on me, now all I have to do is be anywhere near and I'm toast! I don't care it's spring and things need to be done. Richard is fit to be tied."you're a hard headed woman,he announces ,don't ya ever learn!"
"Oh, hush up, you,I retort and get me that lotion the doc gave me last year!"

Awe! I'm sorry for you..when I was young there was some growing by the bus stop and I pretty much wallered in it so I could get it and skip school..didn't get it at all. I'll beware now hearing your story.(no more wallering :) |

I feel for ya! I seem to get it just by looking at it, and like you, I'm a hard-headed woman too (according to my DH), and no, I never learn either. Sometimes ya just gotta do what ya just gotta do. |

So sorry you got into that mess of nightmare itch..not fun by any means. When my hubby was a kid he got it so bad it was even in his ears. |

Go to the doctor if it gets too bad, no sense being miserable. My hubby got into it one year and both legs and arms were covered. He missed three days of work. Linda B from SC |

I would rub it all over my arms when I a kid, just to show my buddies how tough I was, knowing I wasn't allergic to it. Time changes everything. I am now allergic and I have taken down the poison ivy vines from every tree in our woods. I use brush killer on it up and down the road. It gets me bad when it can.
