Tag: clematis
These clematis (some bloomed before and others just completely disappeared) are still not showing anything as of today: Group B - Franziska Marie, The President, Kiri Te Kanawa,Natascha, Minuet, Edith, Lord Nevill, Piilu and Edomuraski; Group A - montana Peveril, Pink Flamingo, Markham's Pink and Snowdrift; Group C - Alba Luxurians, Hagley Hybrid, & Minuet. What did I do wrong???. I know I planted some tulips on Pink Flamingo and Markham's Pink space. This is agonizing to say the least, not knowing if they are still alive.

sweetlebee	Mar 4, 2008 \| 12:27 PM PST My group Bs have buds and my group Cs have new leaves. I also see some shoots coming from the ground on two of the four. They are about 3 years old. The one I bought last year has just a small shoot under the mulch but it's in shade. I'm in Portland, zone 8 and you must be an 8 or 9. Be patient and never give up hope!
bsmitch	Mar 4, 2008 \| 12:50 PM PST Could you possibly have voles in your garden. They are similar to mice except smaller. They don't leave a tunnel, so they are hard to identify. They will eat the roots of plants, especially in the winter. Check out voles on the internet for treatment. That might not be your problem, but it wont hurt to investigate. yardgranny6	Mar 4, 2008 \| 3:14 PM PST Patience will win out in the end. My clems are just beginning to give me some slight sign of life that I just put out last fall. The ones I have not cut back all have growth on them. Linda B
