About gardenbug8

I garden all day as long as weather permits as I am now retired, thank goodness.  In my new home where we moved after retiring, I have a big backyard with clay soil so compacted that the only alternative was a raised garden built by an environment "nut" landscaper who used old telephone poles.  The rest was cemented; I'm too old to do all the weeding or mowing.   My passion is now the Queen of Climbers, the Clematis.  I have 72 clematis planted in containers and the raised bed.

Too cold to garden now

Multi-blue clematis
I am surprised that my clematis multi-blue showed 2 blooms yesterday despite the cold weather.  It's bloom time should have been through October only.  Too bad I can get a clear picture because it has been foggy all day.  No sun appearing in the last...

Happy Thanksgiving to all
Today at church, our  pastor gave the sermon but we all knew that a couple of days before, he had a lawnmowing accident that almost took off his right big toe.  My sisters and nephew were with me visiting so we all went to the service.  The sermon wa...
