Under the guise of getting my mother out after a fall she took last week (18 sutures), we ventured to a local nursery. We were the only ones there roaming the greenhouses-most doors were shut because it was so dang cold. I bought five gallons of calla lilies, to just have or what-why(?), the ground is still frozen so I cannot plant-it's a sickness this gardening fever. Each pot had so many new shoots starting, I couldn't resist. They now reside in the garage where I'll pull them out daily, push them back in at night, until I can plant.
It's comforting to know this illness is not fatal and we have a support group here on GG!!! ~Andrea

I have it also, I ordered some Kentucky lady slippers,wild columbine,and Celandine Poppy from a nursery in Georgetown, Ky. I hope they don't send them until the proper planting time, I will call them shortly. Darn the fever. Bill Mitchell |

I as well have the dreaded, yet thrilling spring fever. I made a trip to Lowes today for a garden rake. Left with alot more!!! LOL Some seed, tubers and such. |

oh, my fever is BAD, alwyas BAD! I think i must drive everyone around me nuts talking about gardening and plants all the time. Glad I have this online community to empathise with :) |

Hello, This is my 1st post. I am so anxious for spring. It's -4 degrees here. I have to find a way to get though the rest of this winter. I thought it might help to join this community where there are people that share my passion for gardening. |
