Took me two days but the worst is over. Now everything looks so nekkid and man, am i sore. I'm holding my breath for my clematis. I've got a Polish Spirit that I've had for yeeears. It's certainly time for it to be pruned but I only see one budding leaf cluster on some older upper growth. I sure hope it's not pooping out on me.:( i'll give it another week and see what happens.

sweetlebee	Apr 22, 2007 \| 4:35 PM PST Foz, I thought Polish Spirit came up new from the roots every year. My Etoile Violette did, and it's related to P.S. I bet you'll see little shoots poking through the ground if you look close.
fozbot3	Apr 22, 2007 \| 5:16 PM PST Sweetle, this clematis has done both...produced shoots on old growth AND sent up new shoots. i'm hoping the new growth will come but i don't see much happening above ground right now.
