Wow it's been awile. I would check in from time to time to see how you were all doing. I had back surgery back in January and boy it's been a long recovery. Finally on my feet again and able to bend and stoop. I bought "The Garden Flower Book " and studied durning that time hoping I would be able to garden again. This year I am planting more perennials, filling in with annuals. Working on the rock wall I have in the back yard. It's still a little chilly here. I have seeds started in the greenhouse soon to be planted in the ground in May. So, Thanks to the "Dear Lord" I'm back in action. Take care everyone. Looking forward to be back with GG friends. Donna

Wow, Has it been hot here in Central PA. Makes me very crabby!! Had some nice down poors the last few days. My gardens went to drying up to rotting. But we did produce a lot of veggies when they choose to grow. Our honeybees are hard at work and ready to extract some more raw honey. Hope that everyone is doing well. Take Care. Garden Friend. Hi Everyone, It's been a long time since I wrote my last entry. I had a few minutes from time to time to play a few games with bsmitch and our other game playing fan's. And congrats" bsmitch" to the new addition to your family. Well, my husband (Davis) and I have been attending weddings. It seems to be the year.... Our gardens are doing great.. flowers, veggies. Considering the hot dry weather we've been having. Davis and I started a new hobby....BEEKEEPING...wow
It sure is interesting. The bee population has dropped tremendously over the years. We got the hive back in May. The State of Agricultural came out to inspect it to make sure it was a healthy hive and passed all the test. They opened the hive to look for the Queen and it was amazing. Thousands of honeybee's and already making honey. We pulled one tray of honey so it could be inspected and had a little taste. Soooo Good.
So we are on our way to honey! I would like to make some candles from the wax And also researched about honey in cosmetics. Soaps. And of course all the great cooking. I have posted a few picture's in my profile of the hive and will post more as we go along. So hope you take a look . Take Care Everyone. Gardenfriend. Donna

Best time to get out in weed are these rainy days weeds pull up easy. Iris are just about to bloom. Moved some blulbs around that have been here for many years. It's amazing coming to a place where a garden once was 30 years ago and to see what still florishes. Think about it.

Well the rock garden is coming alive. A lot of phlox, wild strawberry, ivy, periwinkle, crown vetch. Summer I usually fill in with small annuals. I have several spots in my yard to garden. But I tell ya there's something about poking around in my rock garden that just really brings out nature. There are crikets, little toads, little gecko. Some of the gecko's have neon colors, there small little things. They will follow me as I work my way down the rock garden. I make a small puddle of water for them and watch them drink. And sunbath on a cool piece of moss. Pretty Neat. " Have a great day Garden friends!!! Donna
