Mimosa Tree

Yesterday I dug all day. My brother had mentioned to me that he wanted a mimosa tree. Around here they are rather invasive, but he said he wanted one. I agree that they are really pretty. I went to this old home site and found 2 little ones to dig up for him. As I was walking around, I came up under a big ole mimosa. I walked up under it looking for babies. All of a sudden my childhood came rushing back to me. I had totally forgotten that they have a scent to them! Oh! What a sweet scent to give me such sweet memories. A neighbor had a huge mimosa tree that all of the kids in the neighborhood climbed on and played in. I was there! It was a great trip back in time. Is there any other hobby that can do that?! Ya'll have a good day....and get in that dirt! Trisha

I love the scent of Mimosa blossoms. Thank you for reminding me of that wonderful perfume. |

I want a Mimosa, also. They are wild all over here. None of the nurserys carry them here because they are native! You have to find one in the wild and dig it up! |

I fight them all the time. They grow everywhere here in Kentucky. I do agree that they are beautiful while they are in bloom but they make too many babies. You all have a great day and happy gardening. Bill Mitchell |

I dont have one and really I am glad I dont. They are so pretty though. |
