    Established in 1995, Dearness Gardens is locally owned and operated by Kenneth Forster. The garden center is situated on 7.5 acres of an old 1920's farmstead in the heart of Huntersville, North Carolina. Dearness Gardens opened with the idea of creating a "destination nursery " that would become a must visit for both local gardeners and visitors alike. Presently, there are approximately 3 acres of the property that have been developed with display gardens and ponds; fountains, birdbaths, and statuaries; a large gift shop; a greenhouse filled with lush tropical plants, gifts and decorative containers.;an extensive tree lot and shrub field; annual and perennial plant areas for both sun and shade; and numerous out building filled with home and garden gifts and accessories. When you visit Dearness Gardens, plan to spend some time just exploring the grounds, paths, and buildings. There is a little something special for everyone who comes here!
