Aug 11, 2012 | 6:11 PM PST thanks for all the info. I'm sure I'll have to make quite a few before I get real good, but I hope not too many. And I hope their eatable. We've had rain off and on since thursday,a little more in store for tomorrow. Didnt hurt my feelings any. We went to moms and got the truck load of her windows from the sunroom she had torn down. Then filled the trailor with the deck lumber that also got torn off. We bought that lumber from her at a cheaper price than home depot would have charged us. and the windows were free. They are for my greenhouse and/or deck porch, which ever works best. I also have a pick of 2 doors. So I've got the start of one on board for next spring anyways. On the front of the gardenshed a deck and pergola.Thats what the lumber is for, since theres only 12 2x8's,and that size would be overkill for a greenhouse. Since we had to do the lumber this morning, and it was rainny/misty all day-we didnt open. We only had one other day we didnt open since April,so it was needed. Then a late lunch and nap. We're both still tired. Beef stew,garlic-cheese biscuits, blueberry crisp was made yesterday/today.I need to be rested up to attempt this pie crust undertaking. The orchard has produced 65 quarts to date-I may hit 70. 6 more bushes are still giving to me. I have 22 quarts in the freezer. Have to give some to the daughter,as she didnt get any. Picked 8 more cukes today. If I open tomorrow I'll sell them.I already have 4 in my fridge. The japs are now hitting my string beans hard-and a couple on the cukes. They dont normally bother with veggie beds,as there are plenty of ornamentals around. So I dont know whats up with that, but I'm getting darn fed up with them ******. Humidity is suppose to soar again tomorrow, which will increase their numbers again. We dont care if it rains again tomorrow as everything was too dry anyways, and the gardens love it...

Hey, you are one busy lady. I hope my blueberries produce good in a year or so. You give me hope. I use the milky spore around my yard to great effect. I put it on the prime problem areas to begin with and redone it a couple more times as needed, 3 times in about 12 years. Don't see any Japs, and see few grubs anymore. I also don't have any skunks digging in the lawn and trees anymore, as they like grubs.
