 I am new to gardening. I have a history of having a black thumb. I am babysitting a 12 year old Brazillian Raintree Bonsai for my daughter as they do not have enough sunshine. My son is totally in to bonsai and has some beautiful plants.

Anyway, I have a small deck and want to learn about container gardening. It is probably too late in the season to start anything, but I want to learn.

I am divorced. I have 2 Chihuahuas and a very large Redbone-Lab mix. I am an absolute animal lover. Sometimes I wish I would have gone into veterinary medicine instead of nursing. 

I want to learn the basics with some easy to grow plants.
