whats up fellow gardeners.. my name is mark and im 23, born and raised in beautiful bend, Or. i am in a position now were i can start a garden and have a yard worth landscapeing... so i have started to till my growth spot, (getting the rocks out and finding out what is under my top soil... what i found was real nice dark soil... though what is disapointing is that there  is a large tree growing within 4' of my garden site... and its large tap roots are all over the site just a few inches under, so i have decieded to build up instead of any alternative... i am in the first stages of preperation so i will be posting pictures and events unfold... along with my new green thumb im trying to find im also starting my first compost pile..
