About cottagegardener

Hi My name is Karen aka cottagegardener. It's great to have found this site and I am already feeling at home here. Who wouldn't feel at home in a garden- online or off? :) I have been married to a wonderful man named Chris for 33 years now and we have 5 grown children, 4 boys and 1 daughter. We also have 3 grand daughters and a 21 year old chow mix named Jubilee.

I learned to garden at my dad's knee and my gardening is my therapy for just about everything! I love to grow all sorts of perennials, roses and annuals. I not only garden, but I love to embroider and I do crafts as well. Let's not forget the computer! I do photo restoration and I am an avid Paint Shop Pro user. I make scrolling, musical and animated stationery for Outlook Express and Windows mail users. I also make signature tags and small animated .gifs as well.

The goal of my garden is to bring joy to the little children, (all children should have flowers) healing and serenity to friends, family and visitors and a sense of home to me and my husband.  Now that I have a digital camera, I can actually take some nice pictures and post them! I hope to meet you all and learn all about you and your gardens. See you soon! - Karen

Thanks bsmitch and thanks Inprogress! Thank you one and all for your kind words! I can tell the world of my problems but only another gardener would understand how I feel about the garden. Today I feel a little bit better about things. I think I owe ...

Once Again It's Been Too Long...
Wow! It's been too long since I have posted. So many changes have come my way. When my little grand daughter started school last August all of my gardening stopped. My job with her became full time. The holidays came and went with my health problems ...

This and That
Happy Sunday Evening to you all! Not much going on this weekend. It's been too hot to be outside much and today it rained. I have managed to get this and that done though. I sprayed and sprayed the Ivy forest. - this time with 2-4-D . - But as usual....
