About cloggingrandma

I live in Northwest Ohio, am married to my husband Ric.  We have 3 wonderful children and six gorgeous grandchildren.  My husband is a contractor by trade, I work in a factory, which I hate.  We also have our own internet based business.  I was born and raised about 5 miles from where we live, my husband was raised about 2 miles from where we live.  We are in the country, always have been.  We are surrounded by farm fields and across the road from a dairy farm.  It's very country!!!!  I have to admit that my favorite thing to do is clogging, which I have been doing for about 4-1/2 years, (this year my daughter and 7 year old granddaughter both started clogging with me), but gardening is a very close second.  This is my third year of having a garden, and each year I learn more and my garden gets a little bigger.  I love to work the soil and I love eating the things I have grown.  It's a pleasure to watch the things grow that I have planted and tended to.  I spend time in the garden every day.  This year I even planted mammoth sunflowers around the garden, and mammoth is the word.  Most are over seven feet tall, and just starting to flower.  (We also enjoy sunflower seeds on salads, or just to eat.)  I enjoy having my grandchildren in the garden with me.  They enjoy picking and eating too.  My daughter even started her first garden this year and she is enjoying it too.  I guess I got the love of growing things from my dad.  He always had a garden when I was little and I enjoyed being in it with him.  If next year produces like this year, I may have to set up a stand by the road and start selling. lol  I'll try to figure out how to get pictures of my garden in here.  I am glad I found this site and hope to learn and share alot with all of you.
