Well, It's been a while since my last post, sorry. To thosewho have been reading this. Unexpected difficulties arose in life, and in my garden. The corn, and green beans all had to be re planted. I had to transplant all of my hot peppers to the garden instead of in the old bath tub I was trying to grow them in. (since they are hot, my mother in law wanted them seprate from the sweet peppers) I didn't realize the tub wouldn't drain enough for them, I hope that they can be salvaged. Seems like this garden is a metaphor for my life right now.... crazy crazy. Jason

Today as I was planting my garden, I got about half of it done then decided to finish the rest tomorrow. But as I was covering the seeds over with dirt-a thought occured to me...I have all kinds of expectations for this garden, I'm hoping to dry out my peppers and herbs and create my own spice blends, for example. The same thing occured when my second son Kylar was concieved.
My wife and I had only known each other about four months when she got pregnant, we both had and still have a million hopes for him and his little sister. All we can do is love them, do the best we can by them and that's it. I can't chose his future or pick a career for him.
See, my oldest son, Sean lives with his mother about an hour away. I see him as much as the law allows- every other weekend. Sometimes it feels more like Sean comes to visit and he's seeing an uncle or something- not his dad. He knows I love him, and he likes his siblings and all, according to his teacher, he's constantly talking about the things we do together...But he has this whole life with his mom I know nothing about. The point is, With Kylar and Kylie it's like I get a new chance at being an influential dad...I still have a million hopes and dreams for all my kids, this gardening thing may help me grow as person too. Thanks for listening to my ramblings. Jas.

Hello All-
This is where I will be reporting on all my gardening and green thumb adventures. I love to cook, and that got me interested in growing fresh herbs. (the legal kind, ha ha) I bought some containers from the local wal mart and some soil mixture something or rather and planted my 7 herbs.
Tomorrow I will be planting our larger garden- If anyone has recipes for salsa or tomato sauce please fill me in. I quit smoking about ten months ago and my wife and I started weight watchers together, along with my mother in law. We all three thought it was time to get healthier, although, we have found that family gatherings are a bit of a set back. (As mother's day was this past weekend) Here's to the growing- Jason
