Well it's been a busy time for me this spring. I got married on May 31st at the house so I had to have the flower beds all looking thier best. Was doing pretty good till the dogs decided we had too many toads and nearly destroyed my dahia bed to get to them. UUggghh ! I "fixed them" but they weren't the same. But everything was great and my dear husband (that still sounds strange) actually added to always have room for one more animal or plant to our vows ....that was sooo sweet. He really does know me.. Well now we are trying to deal with the ants eating all our tomatoes just as they are getting ready to be picked. Don't want to use poison since they are food but something has got to give here. Well just wanted to drop in and say hi .... don't have much time to get on now with work and all so Hi everyone ....talk to everyone later Carol

Tag: Spring is in the air
Well here it is the end of April and spring has actually sprung. We had bad storms last night and it looks like all is well. My Bird of Paradise was blown over but that's not new. The poor little apple tree looks like he got rough treatment as well. But other than that we did well....plants and baby chicks (they got a little wet and were not happy but they were ok). My flowers are up .... finally got warm enough for my dahials from last year to finally poke through. My sky flower is wonderfull although next year I think I am going to have to move it. Never saw anything grow this fast and I'm concerned it might try to get ahold of the house like a wisteria. But it does die back come frost so that should help. Soon as I get flowers and not just green I will have to post some picks of it. Well just wanted to say hi before I get my day started...so hi........ Carol

Hello everyone... well we all like to rescue plants I know and I do more than my fair share. But this is amazing...... We were having a wind distress/damaged sale at work. Boss Men were tired of some big plants not selling so they put a bunch of mexican fans and such on 75% off sale. Well in the center of this whole bunch of fans was a White Biird of Paradise....8 ft. tall 15 gallon container. Yes it is mine $139 for $34.50. I am sooooo excited. it's beautiful and I have always wanted one but not at the going rate. Good things come to those who wait. Guess God was rewarding me for letting a lady have my Ausie tree fern for half price to match her other one. lol Anyway couldn't wait to share with evereyone here....Here in the real world everyone was like "huh that's nice " " a what?" lol Talk to everyone later....Carol

Well just wanted to take a moment and let everyone get to know me a little better. I LOVE plants and all that it means. My son used to tell me that we were going to have to move out cause plants were taking over. Well now that he has his own house he has 5 ponytail palms { it seems to be all that he and his wife can keep alive lol} . I have tried to do "structured " flower beds you know pretty ones like magazines but my problem is that if I see it, it's pretty or different, I buy and plant somewhere. I have shade, sun , annual and per. beds and that's about as narrowed down as I can go. I like them all and want them all. My passion is probably vines and ferns though. Yesterday I found out that the unknown vine I bought last fall for $ 20.00 is actually coming back. That was a lot of money for a shot in the dark end of the season buy but it has beautiful flowers. After much research I think it's a Sky Flower. Never saw one before and had to have it. Anyway all I can say is I love gardening and sharing with others about flowers and such..... Looking forward to getting to know folks here and can talk about what we all love ... Later Carol
